Done in 2008 by Don at American Ink Tattoos.
Since I was old enough to get a tattoo, I knew I wanted a memorial tattoo for my father, who died a week and a half after my 18th birthday. He wasn’t a religious person so it proved extremely difficult to find inspiration. I ended up settling on roses (for our last name Rose) and shamrocks (because he was extremely Irish and loved to drink). The words were the easy part, and I settled on the proverb: “Good men must die, but death cannot kill their names”.
Excuse the bulbous look to my arm, it’s difficult to take a picture of it by yourself.
I am extremely happy and pleased with the way this ink came out. I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing and meaningful memorial tattoo.
