Anti Rutgers/Gothic Cheerleader for Halloween 2009.
If you know me well you know that I hate my now alma mater Rutgers University. So with the help of an awesome sale, and the purchase of a 6 year old girl’s cheerleader costume at the local RU bookstore, I was on my way to a one of a kind Halloween costume.
Fighting a Rutgers student.
I used a serge ripper to separate the skirt from the top of the dress (because a 22 year old girl would not be properly covered by a 6 year old’s outfit). I put a tank top on underneath the outfit to cover my stomach, and cut up a fishnet which I wore over my midriff to create a mesh top effect. For the skirt (not pictured) I bought a bunch of safety pins and decorated the pleats with them in x patterns. Finally, I put my dog’s studded collar on, crossed out the Rutgers logo with electrical tape, and put on some black lipstick. Voila!
